Join us for an engaging virtual discussion with Dr. Dave Gutzler, one of the lead authors of two key chapters of the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s Fifth and Sixth Assessment Reports (2013-14, 2021-22) about these reports and their relevance to climate change policy.

Dr. Gutzler retired in 2020 after 25 years on the teaching faculty of the University of New Mexico’s Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences.

His research group at UNM analyzed the causes and impacts of global and regional climate variations using observed data and model output, and applied these results to improve climate and hydrologic forecasts across southwestern North America.
